chipping it defeats the purpose of our discussion... then you would be changing the a/f map right?deetz;8036 wrote:hmm i run a pr4 on my b16a, and ive been told it will work for a zc swap, all ya haveta do is chip it he said

don't usually a o2 cel light mean it will dump a tad bit more fuel then stock because it's not reading the exhaust gas correctly. I think it would work but not correctly is what i'm trying to say cause just the maps being different and throwing a few cel lights it's not gonna be exactly running correctly. Am I wrong on this one, if a ask me D16a6 pm6 ecu's are everywhere in the junkyards, at least they are when I go so why if you have such easy access to a simple ecu would you put a b-series in for?

I know what you are saying, I agree that a pm6/7 would be teh easiest way to do it.90CivicEx;8042 wrote:don't usually a o2 cel light mean it will dump a tad bit more fuel then stock because it's not reading the exhaust gas correctly. As far as the o2 CEL, if you run 2 wires to the o2 sensor (I don't know if the ZC is a 1 or 2 sensor motor) then you should be fine as far as that goes... or add a 2nd sensor o the exhaust system :dunno:
In any case, a pm6 or 7 would be the best bet, but I still don't see why a pw0 or pr3 couldn't work out if that is all that can be had.

If someone has a pr3 to give him...I will buy it! ...I want to see if it will make any difference on my motor (it is the 'correct' ecu for my engine) and we can try my pw0 on the ZC :dunno:

Where can I get a chip?budget_crx;8252 wrote:if you can get a PM7 use it, second choice would be PG7 (86-89 integra) but if you already have a PM6, which you should then you can stick with it. since your car is a 91 then you can just chip it instead of getting another ecu

stolle would be the one to talk to about chipping. he knows everything there is to know about it.91civicsi;8463 wrote:Where can I get a chip?
I believe you can buy a chip and a base at a place like gateway electronics, at least one that can be cleared electronically. I also think that the stock chip can be remapped if you delete its memory using UV rays. I'm not exactly sure though. PM stolle and he should be able to help you out with that if you decide to stick with your ECU
