slipping out of 5th

B16 Y21 Trans w/ LS 5th

I was going down the highway yesterday....and my tranny jus popped out of fifth into nuetral. i did this none of the first week but jus started yesterday and proceeded to happen almost anytime the car was in 5th? whats going on?

had this happen a few times to me. if it pops out of fifth gear you r low on oil in ur trans, fill it up and drive a few miles and it should fix the problem

Will do, got another quart of mtf at home...should I get an additive

i just run regular 10w 30 in my trans, u might have a small leak somewhere or just not filled it up all the way, a additive is not needed

I do think its leaking at the axles seals

are b16 trans known for doing this our is at all transmissions? mine did this for awhile and i juss added more hmtf and it stopped.

added the mtf, no more slipping:icon_cheers:....now jus gotta figure out the leak, pretty sure its axle seals
