2nd gear syncro?

im having some trouble with second gear. whenever i launch it and go to shift into 2nd, it will sometimes grind or not even go into gear. im thinking that its the syncro, but im not sure. anyone have some input?

Yes that is your synchro going bad. You could try changing the transmission fluid. If it hasn't been done in a while, it could keep the synchros from doing their job. But most likely, the synchro is worn out.

Carbon Caosted synchros are worth it. Redoing my transmission yeilded a 1/2 second drop in my 1/4 mile at Gateway.

15.3 @ 93 to a 14.8 @ 94
