personaly i would flush it for the simple fact that you have no idea what fluid the last owner put in the car. synthetic or not, cheap or whatever. every car i have ever owned has been flushed and cleaned a couple of times before i start my regular oil, tranny fluid changes.

A proper drain and refill will take care of nearly all the old fluid in the manual transmission. If you're really concerned about it, change the fluid more frequently. All you're going to do when you "flush" the old transmission fluid is waste good MTF.

I would check your slave and master cylinders for your clutch while you're in the engine bay. Pop the rubber boot off of the clutch fork/slave cylinder on the front of the trans and have someone engage the clutch a few times. Check for how much movement you have.

Ok so my my buddy Andy (honduhej1) just hooked me up with a new to me tranny from one of his friends for real cheap so I'll be doing that next week. Thanks everyone though for all your input.
