s2000 clutch issue

Post by muha22752 »

I read somewhere on S2ki that when the released the AP2 the made the flywheel heavier but did not make any changes to the pressure plate to help the clutch "more grabby" (yes I know, I'm I newb).
Let me see if I can find the thread...

EDIT: ok, I can't find it, but it basically listed all the changes that were made through out the years the S2000 was produced.
AP2's had heavier flywheels,AP1 was 11ish lbs AP2 is 22ish lbs I think. But honda did not update the pressure plate after they made this change. I think the OEM pressure place puts out about 1500 lbs which I guess isn't enough for a heavier flywheel. 2 solutions, light weight flywheel, or aftermarket pressure plate.
