how do i know what kind of tranny

I am looking at a car today and it is a civic si he said it has a itr tranny with lsd now is there anyway without opening the tranny to see if he is lying.

is the trans out of the vehicle or are the axles taken out?

no it runs and drives i didnt know if there were any number on it or something and what numbers they are

then do a burnout, if it leaves an 11 you have LSD. LOL

If I remember correctly, ITRs had an S80 trans and they all came with factory LSDs. I also believe that they had LSD stamped on the trans case

Ahh, don't say that. You can get both tires to spin with an open differential transmission too.
