Integra 3rd gear grind

Check the dogs on the gear itself, if it looks like grindage, or the point is closer to one side of the gear, replace it. U can even stock up on springs now, so u may be lucky and be able to just replace 2nd gear spring.

i had that purple syncromesh crap in my car until i replaced it with honda MTF... now it doesn't grind at all and btw the new honda mtf is an improved version of the old stuff which means it works on any kind of honda

EDIT: Pretty sure you are talking about Royal Purple SynchroMax.

or it means they just change something little and write NEW AND IMPROVED!!!! WORKS IN ALL HONDA TRANSMISSIONS just to get more people to buy it

x2 syncromesh comes in a yellow bottle and is made by pennzoil

There is a trick I read about where you rev the car up to about 3k and hold the shifter just outside of 3rd and it grinds the build up off and can sometimes help. Not sure where I read that I will look around and get back to you.

I use the sm synchromesh made by pennzoil for my transmission and it does help..... hope this helps

I've been told that, to use GM syncromesh. Im def gonna try it.
