Risky? If you are asking if a trunk monkey will beat you to death if you do the swap, I think you are OK. I am not sure what risk you speak of? STD's? Risk of tetanus if you cut yourself on the rust on the car? Uncontrollable power due to the manual trans?

Far as I know, there are no known risks when doing a manual swap. You should be just fine. Unless you don't know how to drive a manual.....

On difficulty the rating is like a 2 outta 10...

Based on a scale of 1 being easy 10 being hard lol.

If you can change a flywheel, clutch and tranny, bolt the pedal assembly in and hook the cable up and change the gauge cluster, and under the autostick theres a plug and its barely any wireing. Mainly for the reverse lights, oh and put a new cluster in.

Done a few of em usually takes if everything goes right and ya got a friend a couple hours.

Make sure though you buy Manual flywheel bolts and don't re-use the auto's for reason's being the strength difference between them is huge. A good drag launch on the auto's flywheel bolts will tear it off in a heart beat.

Auto flywheel bolts are also a different length; that's the real reason you want to make sure to use manual bolts. Auto ones typically have AT on the head of them...

we arent...its the trunk monkeys he is scared of. Now if his idea of a trunk monkey was a black midget tied up in the trunk, then yes I would say its raciest.
