H2D Conversion Kit

Post by EightyTwo302 »

So.... i've been trying to figure out a cheaper/easier way of puting an H22 in an EG....

i was just browsing and ran into a Honda-Tech article with this:

http://www.bisimoto.com/wst_page4.html

i was just curious if anyone here has used a tranny adapter plate, etc.

So here's the deal:

H22 engine, wiring, ecu
H22 tranny
swap mounts
swap axles
shifter linkage

vs.

H22 Engine, wiring, ecu
H2D conversion (use my D series tranny, linkage, axles, mounts-except driver is custom)
and replacing axles when i go to the track, no big deal...
maybe replacing a tranny, but they are cheap... and light

opinions are welcome...

Spend the extra money and go with whichever setup is easier?

H series transmissions arent exactly known for being strong... nor are d series. I would stick with a series, b, d, h, f, k what the fuck ever, and stick with it. Then again, im sort of biased toward a h or b. Hell, even a h2b, you wouldnt break as many transmissions. Or, if you can find a cg transmission like mike did, he hasnt broken it yet.
