Today I was comming home from the bank, and when I layed on the gas my tranmission went into 2nd gear but it took a while like 5secs(keep reving and not shifting into 3rd) finally it went into 3rd... I guess its slipiing? When I driver normal, it goes into 3rd gear just fine.. It ONLY has troubleing going into 3rd gear when I'm trying to pick up speed fast.. My friend suggested not to lay on gas/ try to go fast with your auto integra, drive normal!.. BUT what's the fun in that?
W/e it is I'm getting it fixed soon! it sounds like shit, shifting into 3rd gear when I lay on the gas.. and only reason I do that cuz thats only way I can hear my exhaust.
Any suggestion?

How many miles and what not, your tranny might need serviced as in tranny flush and fill and new filter screen. The say do this every 70k to 90k depending on how hard its driven and how far ya know what I mean, other then that good luck on figureing it out and hope ya do.

I don't see how there hard to rebuild, obviously it goes in all gears when put in the only thing he would have to replace is the torque converter which they don't really cost that much new like $100 to $400, yeah its a pretty penny to pay but when ya have to have a certain type of tranny it happens.HondaChild;40708 wrote:auto trannys are bitches and expensive to rebuild, but anyway I hope its nothing major. and also I agree with your friend don't get on the gas hard.

My tanny only has 91K on it, I never herd a tranny w/ that "low" milage going out. But I guess like you said it depends on how you drive the car.. Another thing is right b4 I noticed the tranny problem my check engine light came on on 5-2 and when I checked the code, it read P0 304.. and it say it missed fired #4 cyclinder.
Now I'm thinking cuz it's been raining a lot water just got in my engine bay when I ran over a puddle or something and got on my distributer or spark plug wires.. well it doesn't help that I have no finder liner on my teg.. (i keep to forget to re install em)I'm thinking more and more about it, it might be that problem and not the tranny cuz it has so low milage.. I dont know I'm just trying not to think of the worse, I don't care how much it cost, I want to fix it cause I'm very sentimantal to my teg.

didn't you get the memo? automatics suck. ESPECIALLY honda automatics. I managed to destroy one in under 20,000 miles. drove fine when i bought the car at 74,000 and was toast by 90,000. they aren't made to be beaten on.
This post comes with a guarantee: I guarantee that I don't care what you think about it.
