OBX lsd?

Post by DC_T »

Anyone using an OBX lsd? From what i've read it's real similair to Quaife but about 1/2 the price. People seem to have good results w/ it, just wondering if anyone here has had any experience w/ one.

I've heard good and bad... Rick does have one, and doesn't seem to have any complaints, but I've heard horror stories too :dunno:

I remember a long time ago reading some thread on HT about the bolts being installed backwards or something when a guy took it apart...something was flipped, that's all I can remember.

rick does have one the only problem, when we put it in the bolts on the lsd hit the tranny case and when it was in gear the car wouldnt move we took the tranny apart and shaved some material where the lsd was hitting put it back together and it was fine and has been since then as far as i know...

i've heard good and bad too. from what i've read it looks like OBX is trying to make some minor imporvements to them, at least to the axle getting stuck defect. i did read that the washers are known to be backwords, and that some bolts can be stripped, but for around $400 it's hard to turn down. plus there are a few pretty good write ups on HT showing how to fix these problems.
