H2b?
I've always wanted to do one. They sound like a good fucking time. The engines aren't terribly expensive, and the conversion kits are around $750 now.
That teg would be a absolute blast to drive.

H2b?
I think H2B and H2D are great options, even though I don't own one. H22 and F20's are great engines and seemingly cheaper than B18's but with more power.

H2b?
Those numbers do sound high to me.
The main reason this swap is done is displacement. And alot of H series parts are cheaper than B series or K series. And you can use B-Series mounts with an H or F-Series engine. Since Civics and Integra’s only have one mount connected to the engine itself, you can use the B-Series mounts on the other two since they are on a B-Series transmission. A kit for H2B swaps includes a custom timing belt mount on the engine that will mount right up to a B-Series chassis mount. So now you can use all three B-Series mounts. And that makes install easy.
So you may want to ask the guy if he did all that. I would guess he did. But you never know. :cookoo:
Some other things to look at are first, hood clearence is an issue with some swaps. The engine will sit higher in the chassis than a normal H or F-Series swap because of using the B series mounts. Also, stock or aftermarket H series headers cannot be used since the engine is tilted more vertically when using an H2B kit. He would have needed to fabricate a header or buy an H2B header. But if a stock H series header is on the engine, you'll just have road clearance issues. Especially if the car is lowered. Another issue is oil drain. Some kits tilt the engine too far. Some kits require oil drain plug relocation. But that isn't a huge problem.
Just some things to look at when looking at the car. Or ask the guy about.
Hope this helps.

I have heard lots of good things about this swap. The biggest one is that you get the power and displacement of the H series motor without the god offal gearing of the 5 speed transmissions that came with them. But and in my mind this is a big but, it is sooooooooooo hard to get more power out of an H22 or H23 with out really dropping a lot of money.
Imo an H2b setup is cool if you have a Prelude or Accord that came with that motor in it. For anything else, stick with the B series motors.

You can use the stock H series header. You just have to heat it up and bend it a little.crxbrad;298426 wrote:Those numbers do sound high to me.
