Cometic Head Gaskets?

Well, I've been reading a lot about them and honestly its mostly bad. Turns out i had to bore my cylinders out due to them being out of round, no problem So i went .020 over to 81.5mm. Well i can't use my new OEM HG, and all i'm finding is 81.5mm Cometics.

So my question is, who here has delt with the Cometic gaskets? Are there any other options?

Application is on a B18b1 NON vtec.

I had a problem with them sending me the wrong gasket then they argued with me over the phone about it telling my I was wrong. They wouldn't send me a a different one or give me a refund cause they said I was wrong. After arguing with them for a few days I said fuck it. I needed a gasket to get my engine together so I bough one from golden eagle. It got to me super fast and it was the correct head gasket.

I'm not too concerned with the customer service, more of quality and if it does its job well. I've read a lot about people installing them and then leaking coolant into the cylinders or some shit. Also happened to my friends Cobalt SS when he used a Cometic.

Never had any experience with a Cometic MLS. However i used a copper one years ago on my Turboed DC.

I use them quite often on personal and customer cars.. no issues.

My dad is running the cometic mls on his si with headstuds and he hasnt had any probs with them. But his is a jdm zc 1.6 with 11to1 compression.

you'll be fine with a stock OEM gasket. I too am 81.5 and 700whp no problem.
