Looking for a build sugestion

So My friend is looking to do a budget build and asking me to help assemble it. I am looking for suggestions CONSTRUCTIVE criticism on his build plans.

Short block
B18a/b block
B18a/b crank
ACL or OEM bearings
ARP head and rod studs
Shot peened LS rods
CTR(PCT) Pistons

HEAD
Non GSR DOHC VTEC
Ferrea 5000 Flat Valves(OE Size)
BLOX dual valve screen
CTR SIR or ITR OE Cam
Mild porting

Intake:
Edelbrock Victor X intake manifold
Omni Power 68 mm TB

Fuel
e85(still doing research on the rest of the fuel setup)

I realize this is a 13:1+ motor, this wont be a DD. We are limited on cam and valve size due to close P2V clearance and a negative P2D number.

i suggest the endyn or z10 block girdle and breather box, ive been doin alot if ls/vtec and b20/vtec research lately and for what im doing the aftermarkt one arent completelyy necessary but for any high power ls/vtec with high revs its def suggested

I have been debating a block girdle, but not really convinced its needed on this sub 200 hp setup. As for the breather, I am planning out a nice custom one closer to what dale used to run.

cool cool, i been doin a bunch of research on the beathers myself cuz mines had a hole n the valve cover with a hoes that wen to the vacuum canister

If he hasn't bought the intake yet he should look into getting a performer x or an aebs intake something with longer runners.

As far as breather setups I tapped the two bungs on the back of my block and have a allstar crank case breather can. Same breather chad uses. I'll see if I can find a link to one. I know ams used to sell them but thu were pricey like $150.
