vtec troubles???

Was it a obd2 motor you swapped in or obd1? I did a gsr swap in my 94 cx hatch about 7 months ago and only had to run wires and pin my vtec and i think it was the knock sencor. I dont remember but it was very easy. Mine was a obd1 gsr swap tho.

your ecu can store codes. so weather the cel is on or not it may have codes stored. worth a try.

ok since i posted i got the chance to get in and check out the wiring job the guy did. i pulled back the carpet to check the pining, and what do i see but the ground wire for the vtec sub-harness was just sitting there hooked up to nothing. great to think you have good friends. he also pinned the ecu wrong, good thing i went back and checked it.:SuicidalSmiley:
