b16 valve train very noisy

Wuts up guys I have a b16a and the head is really noisy almost sounds like a diesel but when it hits vtec it seems to quiet down. I recently replaced the stock lma's with the spring type and did the valve lash my self and rechecked it so I know its not the lash. Since it quiets up after vtec Im thinking they may have sent me the wrong size lma's. The noise is very constant untill vtec. I really don't know what to do and really don't feel like taking the head apart if I don't have to.

Did you run the part number to verify they sent you B series LMA's? H22 ones require shimming to be the correct height...
