k sluggish wasn't the right word... it like jerks through the rpms.. w/o a/c on its smooth climb to 7k .. but with a/c it like "stumbles" for lack of a better word... i know the parasitic loss but this feels different

newer cars have ac cutoff switch that will disengage the compressor once you use a certain percentage of the throttle. so if youre in your black egg, turning it off is pointless.

sounds like something is up with your ac or a grounding issue.
dont use your ac and problem is fixed.

indeed, I was referring to the crx, however, sometimes i hit the a/c button in the egg just cause i dont want the conpressor running inbetween driving like an idiot.

i agree though sounds like theres something else going on with the integra.

My girlfriends accord does this when the compressor engages the engine bogs down so much it shakes bad, you can feel it inside the car. My guess the compressor is bad.

My integra is a turd when the A/C is on..... Has been that way the whole 5 years I've owned it. 3 different compressors, new motor, new tranny... doesnt matter. Still teh same. Tis' just a way of life these days
