Not even close. Turbochargers use waste (exhaust) to create more power where a supercharger actually uses a strain on your system to get the power increase. There is absolutely no doubt that turbochargers are more efficient then superchargers.

Well answer 2 your first question h22 suck turboed I'm sure some people have got it right but I bought a 99 prelude with a fully built bottom and top end I mean fully built for boost everything was new and it got drove for a few thousand miles then all of a sudden the thrust washer between the crank and block broke and trashed the bottome end that is just my experience with h22

Sounds like a crap build.

2.2 litre with a turbo can be very potent....and anything can be made reliable.

yeah i have just heard that stock pistons have a very thin wall so they can crack under anything over ten pounds of boost but i have heard that running eight is pretty effective.

PSI does not break parts hp does.

The weak points with the h22 are the ring lands on the pistons (thin) and rod bolts. There are tons of turbo preludes making 300+whp reliably. You need a properly sized turbo. dont go with the basic t3/t4 bs. do some reseach learn to read compressor maps and set a goal.

for example a holset hx35 can make 280-300whp on 8-9lbs. it is a good all around turbo that will spool quickly and flows enough to make power. It probably isnt the most ideal turbo but do some research.

the sleeves in the h are extremely strong. So you dont have any worries about cracking a sleeve

im lookin to get a gigher torque rating more so than hp numbers. its my everyday driver and from wat i seen researching supercharging is better from strip apps because th power is constant across the whole rpm range where a turbo build boost and is a little more efficient for driving, if your not at 5 grand your not boosting 8lbs or whatever your running. btu with turbo alot of ppl dont recommend running above 10 lbs due the frm sleeve linings, but if u get steel sleeves like darton and get forged piston and rods u cn boost up to 30 lbs with head bolts, otherwise u cn destroy the valves n i even heard rumors about boost pressure blowing the head off the block lol

if you wanna turbo a stock h22 dont go above 6 psi rebuild your motor before it needs it and GET A GOOD TUNE! 6 psi on a h22 is just right it should give you 225+ HP
