okay again this is my old car... the float in the tank is off. by 1/8th to 1/4th i think. try putting some more gas in it. the day i got the car i was stuck on the side of the road cuz it ran out of gas and didnt know it. it showed 1/4 tank. i had to smack the tank to figure out that it was empty.

no no. i smacked the gas tank to se if it was empty. it makes different sounds if theres gas in it. you said it does have spark? id still check the distributer cap for moisture. reset the ecu by pulling the fuse under the hood for 30 secs and check for cel codes again. its the little 2 hole plug under the glove box. i think its green but dont quote me on that. let me know. i know alot about that car. i did alot of work to it lol.

well i tried everything you said and when i tried to bridge the plug the cel just stayed on i don't know much of what i'm doing so all the advice you can give is much appreciated. and if your names danny you left some stuff in the car lol.

edit:
should i be worried the cel never came on and goes off like normal?

for shits and grins, have you tried clear flooding it to start it? hold the accelerator to the floor and crank the engine over while its pressed and see what happens.
