Since his is a D16Y7 with the 'tarded top-mount throttle body and three-wire IACV, the idle adjustment procedure is a bit different then that.

With the engine at operating temperature with no loads (i.e. Radio, Lights, A/C, etc. all turned off), your idle speed should be 670 RPM +/- 50 if it's a manual or 700 RPM +/- 50 if it's an automatic. If your idle speed doesn't match that, adjust the idle screw in half turns until it matches. Be sure not to unplug the IAT sensor while setting the idle. Once that is set, turn the blower motor on it's highest setting and turn the A/C on. Let it idle for one minute and check the idle speed again. It should now be 810 RPM +/- 50. If it's out of that range or your issue still occurs after that, report back with your results.

Unfortunately, you're going to need to get a tachometer. You can pick up an OEM gauge cluster with a tach for pretty cheap now days. You may be able to find someone who will let you borrow one.

was ecu reset? were the spark plugs changed along with it? ecu makes changes to fuel map when it is run the way u did. the entire map was compromised, timing, ignition, fuel, etc etc. running it that way compromised the entire systems. check the codes again after u reset it. if u have a cell it will probably be misfires if u infact have another cel. hopefully u are in the clear after reseting the ecu, however, i am not optomistic.
