Bummer, because I have the harness and IM, but not the intake. Plus I was hoping not to have to swap the harness. Piss!

That sensor only sends information to the gauge cluster and should have nothing to do with his issue.

I believe you can swap over the Y7 throttle body w/ IACV only and follow a '99-'00 DX wiring diagram and wire in the 3-wire IACV without issue. But again, the way I mentioned in my previous post would be the proper way.

i dont believe the y7 throttle body will bolt up to the y8 manifold.

the automatic y8 throttle bodys have a 3 wire iacv though. that should bolt up to the 5spd manifold, but then you might have to leave the 5spd iacv bolted up and unplugged or make a block off plate.

Maybe d series are different, when I didn't hook it up on my ls hatch it wouldn't start. Ecu sees zero oil pressure and wouldn't let it run for more than 3 seconds

Both the Y7 and automatic Y8 throttle bodies will bolt up, but the ports for the IACV do not line up.

So your best bet would be to swap the complete intake and wire harness.

That's the first time I've ever heard that. Mine is currently inop on my '92 Civic which starts/runs just fine. I've also worked on several OBD2 K20/K24's that have had the oil pressure sensor unplugged during a previous oil filter removal and started/ran just fine with no CEL's.

If you are in need of y8 manifold for an auto that can be bolted right onto a y7 and run with the correct throttle body mounted iacv let me know I have one.

just run the y8 ecu, yea it will throw codes for vtec but that Should be the only codes it throws if everything else is hooked up, or just put the y8 head on the y7 have a nice mini me and great reliability plus zero codes
