need a little D series help please

Post by getteg »

So I bought a 2000 EX with a blown motor and swapped in a Y7 with the Y8 IM. I have hooked everything up to the best of my knowledge, but am unsure if everything is back where it should be. There are a few spots that didnt get hooked up as I couldnt find any hoses or spots to hook them to.

I know there are going to be a few left because of the Vtec missing, but I think I missed something that needs to be hooked up because the car will not start.

It will crank over no problem and if I crank for a bit it will start, but then dies right away.

Im wondering if there is someone that would be willing to let me look under their hood if they have an EX to see what I may be missing or if someone that knows D series would like to come over and lend a hand that would be even better.

Also before anyone asks the Y7 is out of a 99 Civic and I am using the ECU that came out of the 99 with the Y7.

Where would that be located? Im 99% sure everything is hooked up.

If it is the skinny one wire plug on the back of the block it is hooked up.

The P2E ECU is looking for a 3-wire IACV while you're using a 2-wire IACV. The proper way to go about fixing this would be to switch to a '99-'00 Civic DX engine harness and complete intake manifold w/ throttle body and air intake. It will all be plug and play.
