Car died and wont start

engine: h22a

so i was driving today and my car jus died and wouldnt start back up and threw a battery light......so i figure the battery was dead...so i had a friend try n jump me, still no beans.....it will crank n turn over but wont actually run.....its almost as if its not gettin fuel but then i dont get why i threw a battery light.....

any ideas?

have you checked for spark and fuel?

three things a car needs to start, spark, fuel, and air.

Could be a bunch of things. Distributor coulda blown up, fuel pump coulda crapped out, or your main relay, or ecu mighta ate shit.

it cranks but i dont get any spark after the coil.......so i replaced the coil(115.00) and still no spark goin to it(so no power is gooin to the coil let alone the distributor, but the battery is fully chared)........i dont kno if i should hear the fuel pump when i turn my key but i dont hear any fuel pump noise either.......

the first time it happened i was in a parking lot and it stared right back up......but the second time it wouldnt at all.....and now it doesnt even turn over.......

is there some type of relay that cuts power if the fuel pump goes out or something?

Take your rear seat out and jam your head in there. You should hear it.

When you first turn your key on, does your check engine light come on, then go off? Also, find your main relay and see if it clicks.

It's more like, find out what the problem is and dont throw parts at it issues.

well i got fuel pump after i put my head back there......my check engine light came on and went back out after i turn the key on......

i was told that the coil cant get arc until power goes thru the distributor.....does this statement hold water?
