car wont start

i got a 91 integra ls with a b18a1. she has been actin flakey latley and randomly not wanting to start, doesnt even crank. if i pop start it, it will start with no problems. i replaced the starter and that fixed it for about 20 min. then nothing again.

theory 1: starter was a remanufatured starter and is no good (has warenty)

theory 2: the gasket to my distributor cap is fucked which wouldnt be an issue if i didnt have a big hole from the scoops in my hood right over my distibutor. i know the crank sensor and cam sensor are inside the distributor. could the moisture that is getting into the cap shorted out or fucked up either of those sensors and would that keep it from starting? like i said it pop starts with no problems.

any help would be the shit.

Negitive on theory #2. When your car does this no start next time...check and see if you are getting power to the starter, and if you have your key referance to turn the starter on or not. If all reads good...lightly tap the starter with a hammer while attempting to crank the car over. If it starts...you need a starter.

Obviously...you will need another person with you while doing this testing.

im with fry dose it click or anything when you try to start it or do the guages go off for a second when you try to start? it could even be as simple as a bad connection on the battery terminals 1st thing i would do is clean that shit! lmfao

no it does not click but the guages and radio do turn off when i try to turn it over.
