The Honda automatic transmissions aren't designed to hold together with 200 WHP. It won't last long. The swap can be done, but it's not worth the headache.
If you can't drive a 5 speed, leave your car alone or buy an automatic Integra LS if you want a little more power and torque.

Honda did not build the auto to hold much more power over stock. the after market manufactures haven't really done anything to help. there is(or was) one company that did make parts for Honda autos, but I donut remember who they were.

Level 10 is the only place I ever saw advertise this.. and they still couldn't hold power with the Honda auto (not necessarily any fault of theirs, it's just not meant to be). Good friend of mine sent his Prelude auto to them and it wouldn't hold 300hp..lasted 3 pulls on a dyno.Waffles;258925 wrote:Honda did not build the auto to hold much more power over stock. the after market manufactures haven't really done anything to help. there is(or was) one company that did make parts for Honda autos, but I donut remember who they were.

if your looking for more performance, look at adding a turbo kit instead... going to make more power then a B swap. you should be able to purchase a bolt on turbo kit that will keep you under 200 hp so the car should stay reliable but be ALOT more fun to drive

As long as a motor has a good tune, it will run fine, regardless of whether it has vtec or not.ilovemyd16;259260 wrote:its non v tec will it still run good

As far as B series auto goes in a 96-00, it will be an absolute PITA to get it in there without doing some major cutting and fabbing. Not worth the work and I never thought I'd say that; wanted to do a B series auto swap in the wife's 4 door but it will not happen easily...
