stating what car you have, what engine you have, whats been done to the car, what you have tried to do to fix it, and its target redline may yeild you more responses.
also, if youre using a oem honda tach for basing that you can only rev to 5900rpms, the oem honda tachs are known for not correctly displaying your actual rpms.

its a 94 civic ex coupe. its got a dc 4 to 1 header, test pipe, greddy axle back exhaust, y8 intake manifold, g-sport fuel rail, b&m fpr set to stock, and a short ram intake.
im just wanting it to rev to its factory specs for now. it just seems like the limit fluctuates. sometimes its 5900 sometimes its 6400. its annoying.
do you think i need to have my ecu flashed or up my fpr?

Adjusting the fpr isn't going to solve the issue, as for the redline pull my ecu out and try it and see if its something in it of course I don't think the ecu is bad seeing that there's not one code being flashed.91beatuphatch;246427 wrote:okay heres whats done.

Of course also know this problem has happened before the y8 mani swap and has only kept going after, his trip meter sometimes stops and comes back on, the abs light even when off still the brake pedal makes the click noise, and driving steady speeds the car has a slight rev in and out like the tps is bad at idle.
Flashing the ecu isn't going to solve the problem either, the factory setting for it should hit all the time or around that area. If your low on oil the vtec redline will be lower and sometimes even make your check engine light come on and vtec won't engage at all. I think we just need to dig a bit deeper to find out the possibilitys
