F22B1 Swap
Here recently I purchased a F22B1 that will be getting some Bitimoto treatment, and packed into my 98 Civic DX Coupe. I will be using my S20 B0000 transmission to mate up with the F22B using the Bisimoto F to D kit. I also know about the rear mount. The one thing that I'm really concerned about is the wiring harness. Is there a PnP harness out there for this swap yet? Or am I going to be having fun making my own harness. Anybody with this kind of information please post, it is most appreciated.

F22B1 Swap
Sweet, doing an f22b1 in a civic is a different swap... I am digging that, but of course I am all about some F series anyways so I am biased.
To my knowledge there is no plug n play harness for this swap, you would have to modify your harness.
I dont know about where you are at and if you have to pass OBD2 checks and all that, but if you dont or have a way around it (registering in an area without OBD2 checks) I would probably do an OBD2 -> 1 conversion and put in a p28 ecu. Not only would you be on a supported ecu for per tuning, but also then you can elimate alot of things you dont need as well to make the swap alot cleaner without issues, like the evap junk, egr valve, etc.

F22B1 Swap
I already have a virgin P28 sitting in my room ready to be chipped for CROME. SO yeah I will be doing a OBD2-1 upgrade. And thanks for the fast response, I figured I would have to modify my own wiring harness, nothing a schematic and the proper tools can't handle. I know not to many have done this swap, but it is out there. Axle placement is a big issue if using a H or F series transmission. That is why I will be using my D series still, I think it can hold up to the extra power and tq no problem with a aftermarket LSD installed. Wiring is just going to be my biggest issue... Oh, and I don't worry about emissions here in Springfieldtwkdcd595;239158 wrote:Sweet, doing an f22b1 in a civic is a different swap... F22B1 Swap
Good news, I emailed Peter with Rywire and they do make a F-Series harness for the 6th gen. $300 for the harness, so I guess I won't have to worry about doing it myself after all haha. *Sigh of relief*

Thats awesome! They dont advertise they make that harness... I mean I know they can do anything if you ask but cost effectively I would not have figured that to be an option for only 300.

F22B1 Swap
Why not just modify your stock harness? For the $300 it costs, I'd think it would be worth extending a couple wires yourself. The harness on my 95 hatch was just a modified stock one.
It will be pretty fun. Kind of weird when you are used to having to rev the hell out of a B series and the F pulls hard right from the get go. When the B finally starts to pull, you are shifting the F....

F22B1 Swap
I have heard the quality that Rywire does on their harnesses, and I haven't the first clue on how to modify my harness. But yes, I would have to send my harness in for them to modify. Maybe I will just figure out how to do it myself, but at least there is another option in case I do not wish to do it on my own.RyanA;239197 wrote:Why not just modify your stock harness? how much is the f-d conversion kit? will there be a h22 head swap in the future?
f22b + h22 head swap + boost = one nasty mofo

F22B1 Swap
Bisi has them for a little over $1k, and no there is not a H22 head swap in the future. I'm gonna stick with the F22 head. I know the H22 head preferred head, but I'm gonna keep it as it is.onecam12sec;239277 wrote:how much is the f-d conversion kit? will there be a h22 head swap in the future?
