Crv b20 gets penzoil and a stp filter ever 3-3500miles

civic b20vtec built gets mobil 1 and oem filter. I might change this soon cause I keep leaking from the oil pan gagsket so I change the oil whenever I change the gasket. (about 5 times in the last 500 miles)

You should torque the pan bolts correctly. It works wonders. I used to have issues with oil pan gaskets too.

The cobalt is going back to the gm filter before 3000 miles. But its on 5w-30 mobil 1 synthetic. Debating swapping to a different oil (amsoil or redline or royal purple... dunno need to look into them)

The eclipse is on a bosch filter and a semi synthetic 5w-30 Valvoline max life.

But I definitely agree with rob.

lol though rob showing people an ecotec filter is cheating theres no canister to it!

Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car and oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car.
Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall, torque is how far you take the wall with you.
Hope this helps

Jetta 1.8T - OEM Oil Filter and 5W-40 Castrol Syntec

I'll never understand why people use inferior products like Fram. Do you really know what you're putting on your car? You can physically see it's not the right oil filter compared to the OEM one. Unfortunately, I see this at work all the time when customers bring me their own oil and filter. Even two members on the board here. I showed one person the difference between the Fram filter and a Service Champ filter for the GM Ecotec motor, which is cartridge style rather then the spin-on style that Honda uses. It was un-fucking-believable. The adhesive that held the filter element together looked like it was applied by a 10-year-old with a hot glue gun. And the weight difference between the two was very noticeable. These faults are especially important on these motors as they're equipped with an oil life indicator that counts down until you reach a certain percentage and will tell you to change the engine oil. At this point, you've gone roughly 6 to 10 thousand miles since your last oil change with an oil filter that broke and stopped performing to spec at 2 to 3 thousand miles.

I'm not trying to start and argument. I'm just trying to encourage people to look at what they doing to their cars and choose a better product. Bosch, Mobil, STP, Valvoline and OEM Toyo Roki/Filtech (NOT HONEYWELL!) all make appropriate oil filters starting at $2 more then the Fram Extra Guard.

Every once in awhile I do Mobile, but I dont drive my car daily, maybe once or twice a week, and even still change my oil every 3ish thousand miles. Maybe when I start driving it more I will switch?
do you change it every 3000 miles regardless how long it takes to get there? depending on which oil you use, it should be changed every 3k miles or 3 mos, whichever comes first. you should already know this though

Yup if I dont reach 3k miles before 3 months I change it regardless. Or if it sits there for 2 months whether I have drive 200 mile or 2000 I change it before I drive it.
