Safety Inspection bullcrap!!! HELP

Ok so i go to get my car inspected, cause my tags expire today...or today is the last day...midas says that i need a cat, or else he cant pass me...my car never came with a cat, and last time i got it inspected ( about a year a go) they didnt even say anything about it, if anyone knows a way around this, or anyone that has a cat laying around that i may borrow so i can just put it on there, pass, then return back...plz let me know......and anyway,, wtf i need a cat for if my car is a 92...someone explain this to me

lol yes your car did originally come with a cat and yes you are required to have one lol...

easiest way around it is to have a friend inspect it....that is if you have any friends that do inspections.

i bet your car did come with a cat stock. and to pass safety, you need to have a visual inspection of all your emissions stuff. that means, if there is no cat on your car, it will not pass.

read mikes post. it dont matter if one inspector dont give a shit and the inspector u are dealing with now is doing his job correctly. the car had a cat, it is supposed to have a cat. end story.

just put a cat on it, they aren't nearly as restrictive as most people think, and i'm pretty sure you're not making enough power for it to make a difference anyway.
