integra reving really high

I am building a rhd integra as most of you know and i got everything hooked up. i thought i had it all hooked up right but as soon as i start the engine it revs really high and keeps on reving like the throttle is stuck wide open. i messed with the cable that didnt help. i think it has something to do with either i am useing a b20 intake manifold, or it has something to do with the fuel could any of those things cause it or just let me know what you think

i thought so but i just dont think it is as soon as i start the car it revs to like 7k rpm for a couple seconds then it will go down and rev up and down

well....its sucking air up from somewhere.

And a vacuum leak can be a lot harder to see than an open throttle plate.

My buddies ls/vtec did the same thing and the intake manifold had a huge crack in it... It had a huge crack on the underside in between the runners.

Bad gasket or big vac leak is the usual cause.

Most of the time when I had this issue it was from not fully cleaning off the gasket from the IM ot TB before putting on the new one.

Yep I am thinking that is what it is I was in to much of a hurry to get the car runnin and there was some old gasket left on thee intake man that was dumb so tommrow I am getting a new gasket and we will see if it fixes it

Mine did that when it had a bad TB gasket

Well it is fixed now sweet I had a little extra gasket on there I guess that is what I get for being in a hurry

also in the future you can spray brake clean on the intake manifold. it will show you were your leak is as well. since its a fluid and it dries it will not effect the motor any from what i have seen.
