alright so, took out the BOV (assuming it was the culprit) found an awesome 50 cents and 4 washers inside the BOV piston (joebob special).
-spring is strong -piston seats correctly(no shimmy or catch) - O ring is good
~re-attached BOV (w/o vac lines) took it for a drive..still no boost
~~re-attached Vac lines to BOV....still no boost.
im assuming its the wastegate, but it is newer then the BOV...do these poop out often??
cant take off WG right now ( has bolts with TRQ heads on it..have to go get a set) so im at a bit of a stand still ATM.
any ideas would be awesome!!

How is your wastegate dump routed? .... is it just a dump tube?
If it is just a dump you should be able to hear when it opens.....If it is open all the time you should be able to hear it easily.
Already double checked all your charge piping?

yea pipes are good (for now..) i took it for a drive and yes it sounds like the WG is staying open. will have to get some sockets for the bolts.
-when i do get the WG off what should i be looking for?? (aside from checking all the seals)

before you get the wastegate off you can check for leaks.
Look for anywhere the exhaust flows PRE-TURBO. Check for air coming out where it isn't supposed to be.
There shouldn't really be any seals..........there is a valve seat, no seals though.

I would double check all your charge piping... sometimes leaks can be hard to spot.
When you do check the wastegate. If it is a cheap Tial knockoff wastegate, check to see if it ripped the diaphram or the spring broke/ collapsed (both have been known to happen with those). Also make sure you have the valve seal/ fire ring in as well if you removed it before this and might have forgotten to put it back in. All of those things would cause the car to have issues making boost.
Lastly have you looked at the turbo with the filter off to ensure it is freely spinning when you give it a nice rev or hold the rpm at a couple 3k rpm or so?

That wastegate SHOULD be fine, but who knows considering what you found in the BOV...
Definitely check it after you check out your charge piping, as it could be stuck somehow.
