car off = Tight spring in BOV
turn car on = spring feels loose
i checked my vac. lines...one is a bit expanded in the middle but did a leak test under water and it is fine.
any ideas as to why this is happening. the spring feels solid as a rock when the car is turned off...can hardly move it by hand. but when i turn the car on it goes "limp". it would seem its getting negative pressure against the BOV piston thru the vac. lines but i cant seem to figure it out...any help would be awesome!!

On a more serious note, is it a new BOV? Is the piston seat sealing? Bad O rings?

Is your vaccum signal directly from your intake manifold?

sounds like its doing what it is supposed to do.
If you are pulling vacuum in a sealed chamber, it is going to help "suck" the valve up.
