no clue what it will run down the track, but you have to think too Im in a 2,800lb car roughly with me in it. You on the other hand, same motor, similar setup, similar power with a lot lighter car you will be much quicker than me.

but i will say this much, beating bolt on gto's, 00-01ish corvettes, gt's, g35's, j32 swapped tegs, etc are always fun!!

b/c after all only thing I have done to my car is bolt-ons ;-)

-how is it a waste of money...if your going to put one on when you turbo the car...its not going to hurt putting it on before the turbo kit

- nothing wrong with putting in the pump and new lines and fuel rail.

i see nothing wrong with my opinions...but what do i know compared to JDMEM1 :respect::You_Rock_Emoticon:

Well I been thinkin and i been hearin a lot to build the bottom end up nicely to push some higher boost, so the parts I do have are not a waste and will help eventually, which is what I might do

no need to be an arguing matter RBs23, were trying to help the guy out by giving him pointers, but at the same time not waste his money on things that are not needed.

I was under the impression the whole time he was just putting a turbo kit on a b16, not building it. So sure cam gears would be good if he got cams, and sure putting the fuel pump on now will be good (i said that already), but no need on a fuel rail since the stock one can hold up just fine (around 400hp), unless hes pushing over the 400hp mark then yes an aftermarket fuel rail will be needed, if not another waste of money to spend.

Since he is building it, then yes an bigger TB & IM would be needed, but if he stays a stock internalled b16 with turbo kit you will see no gains on a bigger TB & IM. Reason being b/c if he doesn't have any supporting mods inside the b16 for a bigger IM & TB it will actually make him lose power b/c there will be to much air forcing into the motor. Esp. with a turbo and no supporting mods.

a good condition stock b16 should be able to withstand 300-400 reliably.

Has to have a cautious / observative owner.
