The speedo should read right. I'd imagine there is something wrong with the cluster or VSS. But that's just a guess.

Never had that problem running an EX cluster with a B16 transmission.

Final drive ratio has nothing to do with speedo calibration on a Honda/Acura. The speedo drive gear is basically hooked directly to the axle so it doesn't ever take the FD into consideration. How far off is the speedo? Do you have the correct height tire for a GSR? (should be since AFAIK, LS and GSR use the same HEIGHT tire) One thing it could be is the cluster used to have indiglo gauges or the needle was removed. If this is the fact, you can drive a known speed and have a friend press the needle on the cluster. You can also put the car on jack stands or on a lift and hold the throttle at a certain RPM in a certain gear where you know the EXACT speed. While you have the car at that point, put the needle on.

if the wheel size/tire size is diff than stock d00d it reads diff speed.

if it was a vss im pretty sure it would shoot the needle all over, or just be insanely wrong.

also these are OBD1 OBD2 different.

Im pretty sure 94-95 = OBD1 cluster
and 96-01 = obd2 cluster.

I know the obd2 wont work like at all in an obd1 car. u gotta swap the green film on the back with a obd1 film. but yeah if its showing the wrong speed its most likely becasue of wheel size.

It has stock 14's and it sucks bc I dot have a ride to judge the speed off of bc my truck has 19's and is way off. I don't get why it's off.

Do i REALLY have to start with this again.

94-97 clusters. 98-99 and 00-01 Those are the year interchanges Auto/Manual transmission respectivly.

you know....

certain hondas were found to be registering faster speeds that what they were actually traveling....

If your car is not one of those years ***AND/ OR the error is greater than 5%***, I vote for wheel/tire combo.
