B16 hp
Hey guys, my b16a1 is almost done and ready to go, in my 1990 hatch. It is a basically stock motor with a large spline cable transmission with b16 gears (thanx to RyanA). First I want to make sure everything is running right and if it is, I was wondering what would be my best next step for some more power. What would my cheapest way to go and what would be be my most expensive without turboing it yet, that I have planned for this summer. Let me know what you guys think. Thanx.

it all depends on your wants, you said you plan in going turbo later, so any noticeable HP gains while youre NA would require work that wouldnt help out when you go turbo, i say just drive it as is while you build your turbo parts collection

yeah if ur wanting to go turbo later, don't waste money on intake, header, exhaust (2.5" or less) etc. You'll just be wasting money. Save up on a turbo and just run around on stock b16 b/c as we all know b16 sucks for n/a and make no power without putting TONS of money in to it.
but for now what will benefit you later for turbo that could you actually put on your car now would be getting a walbro 255 high flow fuel pump. You can put this in the car now with no need to tune the car. You can get your oil pressure gauge and actually hook the oil pressure gauge up now, Really about sums up what would be worthy to get now that you could actually put on and be ready for turbo later and won't be out any money on n/a stuff.
Oh yeah and you could get your oil pan tapped now and just throw a block off plug on it, so your ready for that as well.
now search and find good turbo parts for you car untill you have them all =)
