Car wont start???

I had a similar problem and thought it was the fuel pump and relay to but it wasnt, the distributor was bad on my 90 hatch, I changed it and no problems since.

Did you happen to check the obvious like spark and fuel?

Yes everything is normal... All lights come on, but no clicks from the main relay and no fuel pump... But now i have to find a way to get inside of the car because i was pissed off and locked the door with the keys sitting in the seat! (DAMNIT!)

My next suggestion is the distrib ignightor under the cap

but i wouldnt buy a new one of these just goto the junk yard and get on make sure its got the little spring in it other wise it wont work.

So about 2 days have gone so far since i last tried to start it..
I got the door unlocked, turned the key and what do ya know
I hear a fuel pump, I wait for the (NEW) main relay to click the second time
and the check engine light went away, and it fired right up.

WTF is going on here? What can i do to ensure that I dont get stranded on the side of the highway, just incase it wants to shut down on me?

Could your battery be bad, or the terminal connections to the battery be loose? Maybe it's getting an inconsistant spark from there? I dunno. Just trying to help.
