Haven't run w/the CarQuest axle at the track yet, as I tore that CV in November at my very last event for the season. Have had ZERO problems w/the Autozone half shaft and they usually have very good warranties too.

well lowered SH's seem to have a tendency to tear the left CV boot. However, I tore the right one at my last track day, so who knows, lol.

Well I may do autozone or just do raxles. Raxles aren't too pricy either. I would like to upgrade though from stock.

So IDK.

Stef, you really should get that fixed. I would be afraid that it would dry up in that joint, and you can also get damage from dirt contamination.

Reason we changed my entire axle and not just replaced the CV boot was that on the left side, it's actually easier to replace the entire half shaft. And also I had driven around on the torn CV boot for probably a couple of years. We didn't know what kind of damage could have occurred, so we went the safe route and replaced the axle.

On the right side, I just said screw it.....lets just replace the entire half shaft again. My car has 109xxx miles on it, wouldn't hurt to just replace it.
