Header question

A friend of mine has a jdm header for a B18, said its the OEM 4-2-1. Would i notice any gains? Sry if its a stupid question. I just didnt think it would be any different from whats on the car stock.

I would think the only oem jdm 4-2-1 header you would see gains with would be a b16b (or maybe an early version itr? I dont know if those were 4-2-1 before) header. the b16b header has longer secondaries and a 2.5in collector/exit (i compared it to a gsr manifold and the size of the secondary tubes is very obviously different). The trade off is that they are just as heavy as the stock manifold, but they are usually cheaper than buying a real header.

Yeah the guy he bought it from didn't seem to know anything about it, i can get it for $40 so I thought it would be worth askin. Prolly not worth it

itr's didn't switch to 4-1 until 98 ('98 spec). before that it was just 4-2-1 ('96 spec) that looked the same as every other oem b-series headers IMO.
