Question!!

ok gentleman as of current ive got the shitty d16y7 in and ive run into kind of a problem this evening it ran like a champ from my work almost to my house but when i turned onto my street it died the first couple cranks it would act like it was going to fully turn over but it would almost make a "plunk" noise and then it would just sit and crank i replaced the ignition module i checked the plug wires to look for spark im almost positive the problem is that its not firing but who knows i also checked the fuel filter im thinking that the new module might be bad so im gonna check it tomorrow but i wanna know what you guys think tell me if you need more detail thank you for reading

Check your CELs, grounds, spark and fuel.

If you're not getting spark, check the plugs, wires, cap and rotor. Afterwards, check the ignition coil, igniter and main relay (Only check the main relay if you're not getting fuel as well).

i ripped the entire distributor down last night the rotor was fine as well the cap but the coil and iginiter i did not i do believe i am getting fuel so i dont think its that but thanks for the tips ill let you know what happens

well i have good news i replaced the plugs and ignition coil and replaced the rotor and cap for good measure and now its runnin like a champ! thanks a lot man i appreciate the help

Did you use NGK plugs ? Honda's don't like most other brands .

yeah i know lol but i was too deadset on getting it running i didnt of taking any extra time last night. thanks man i appreciate it

yeah thats all i use ngk plugs and plug wires
