Backfire/Temp gauge drop

aight i hope this is in the rite area, but..whenever i start going from a stop.....and this goes from 1st, 2nd and sometimes 3rd gear......my car backfires...just a lillll bit..and the temp gauge dropsss!!! and then goes back to normal...and thats only when i change gears, anyone have any idea wats up?

and someone told me that it could be my spark plugs, but i wouldnt know.
