Surging when taking off!!!!!

ok I got a new eg it's a 93 cx with a z6 swap and y8 intake y8 tranny. The car starts and runs dam fine it's just when u try and take off at a low speed it surges and jumps and bucks and shit. I thought it was the tps so I changed it (I didn't get the ohms perfect bc my meter is broke) but it did the same thing. It has a new distributor on it the tps was the only thing I could think of bc it only surges when u try and take off slow if u lay into it is runs just fine. If u r cruising down the road and it gets to a certain spot it surges also. Maybe it is bc of the ohms. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Sorry it seems so scattered I have drank like 6 energy drinks and am frustrated a out this car bc my ef don't have reverse.

Check engine lights? What year Y8 intake manifold are you using? Auto or manual intake manifold? What ECU?

It has a check engine light but for some reason web u try and check it it just stays solid. And don't know the year on the manifold buts it's a manual one. Ecu is a auto p28 converted to manual.

Theres either a problem with the ECU or you're checking it wrong. I'd check to see if that manifold has air injection. Only 99-00 Y8 manifolds had air injection ports which need to be blocked off when running that manifold on a head other then a 99-00 Y8 (P2J). And since you mention that the ECU has been converted, that would also lead me to believe that there is a possible problem with the ECU since you can't read the codes. I'd take a quick look at the ECU and manifold and see if those are your issues.

I don't know anything about the injection ports. I been trying to find another ecu to try but all my friends cars r boosted so they wouldn't work

if it was the air injection manifold it should have a nipple on the flange by the head right in the middle.. but i doubt it is. sounds like an ecu issue like rob said

It has the ports plugged. I was thinking ecu also dam. I hate to buy one and that not be it u know

Well I just noticed that it does the same thing even when not taking off just when u get it to just the right part on the throttle

I'd also check the cap, rotor, plugs and wires. Have you washed the engine bay on the car recently? I'd try and figure out what the deal with the ECU is first.

It has a newer dist on it the cap is good plugs seem good the wires could be bad but it only does it under slight throttle not a load.
