As topic title states looking for feedback from those of you who have aftermarket throttle bodies.
Please give me some information on what you think of the ones you have had experience with, would you recommend them, price, any installation issues, map sensor on tb provisions, etc.
Going to be in the market for one and before I go blow 250$ on a BDL, I am wanting some other information. Thanks.

yeah what mike said unless you gots a big built motor 68 70mm aftermarket tb are gunna be way to big tb are to big, depending on build go with what size matches your aftermarket intake manifold if you dont have a aftermarket manifold, i dont think it is a good idea to have a larger tb than the size mm intake manifold inlet

well when talking about boosted engines..... there is such a thing as too big depending on our setup.
just match it to your cold side charge piping a long as it isnt too big.
my oem b-series tb is alot bigger than my charge pipe so make no sense to get a aftermarket one except for looks.

I am not as lucky as other applications to have my oem stuff be more useful at the point I am now... I wish I was mike.
Oem stuff is not cutting it, the intake manifold design is horribly small and less than ideal for my application with long runners and virtually no plenum space (which is being addressed as well with a different one). The tb is undersized for my larger displacement, larger turbo, higher boost application and is beginning to hurt my efficiency. I am pushing enough boost or rather more accurately enough cfm to make the stock tb and intake manifold sizes a restriction. I say that because the air velocity through the oem tb and entrance to the intake manifolds undersized plenum is well over the point at which turbulence and efficiency loss become an issue (.4 mach, the number I have always heard over the last few years). Matching it to my charge piping size will correct that and just bearly get me below that velocity.
I have also discussed this with a few people I deal with for tuning or whatnot and they tell me it will definately be helpful in my goals of reaching the maximum efficiency of my setup.
I am not looking to put a 90mm tb on the setup or anything rediculous but while doing the intake manifold I might as well match the throttle body now as well and address both at 1 time sooner rather than later.
I appreciate all the responces so far, thanks to all!!! Anyone with ANY thoughts please post, this is a good discussion so far.

his f series ones are not quite big enough but a good thought, I checked into them and they seem very reasonable.
