I think you found the problems. I would replace them with oem mounts

So do you think I could just add the energy suspension inserts and be fine or do you think I need to replace the OEM mounts then add the inserts?
get new oem ones. wtih those inserts, they are only attached with a couple of zipties and they will eventually come out.

I'm not trying to say your wrong but arn't they sandwiched between the motor and the nut on the outside while there in the car and the zipties are only for outside the car?

I would just use the inserts with the torn mounts.

I doubt there is a difference....only reason I would replace the oem torque mount is if a lot of the rubber was GONE from the mount itself. You'll just be wasting money getting new oem mounts.

Personally I just use a tube of 3M window weld, let it dry for at least a couple days.

this is all you need.

the oem torque mounts dont do much of anything anyways so it doesnt matter if theyre torn.

get the avid torque mounts and you wont have any problems with engine movement. you can leave the rest of the engine mounts oem without any inserts because the avid torque mounts will stiffen it up quite a bit..unless you want it really solid...

Those things look nice if I had the money I would get those. I bought the energy suspension inserts and thats going to have to work because it over 80 bucks for the pair of OEM new ones so the 35 dollar inserts are going to have to work. Thanks for all the input. I will post the results when I install them next weekend.

I have these for my current car and had them on the last one. They will definitely firm up the engine mounting. Personally, I like them. A couple guys I know thought it was a little too stiff and took them back out, though.
