i guess you guys missed the part where i said where the crank fluctuation sensor was located.....
if a sensor in the dizzy was bad your car would not run. i.e. crank position, crank angle, tdc, etc.
if there is no cel then obviously the fluctuation sensor is good and working so tell the emissions to shove it up their ass. you could try and resetting the ecu anyways right before you get to emissions and hopefully it wont show up on their equipment.

Midori if you want you can bring the car by broadway well have it cleared and you can pass it right down the street from us unless you really want to fix it.

The emissions machine will be able to tell if the ecu has been reset and the readiness monitor have been checked. So if you do reset the ECU make sure you drive 100-200 miles preferabley highway so that that the ecu can run all of the monitors. If that doesn't fix it give me a call and I will see if I can plug a scanner into it and see what it says.mike93hatch;138338 wrote:i guess you guys missed the part where i said where the crank fluctuation sensor was located.....

heres the time line:
failed emmisions for code p1337
cleared code with scanner
drove a shit ton
check readiness with scanner
failed emmisions for code p1337
reset ecu as well as cleared all codes with scanner
ohm tested sensor connector: sensor was on spec
ohm tested harness to ecu, no reading...
now im here
i have determined that this has nothing to do with the mini me swap other than maybe the ecu i havent quite gone through all the differences between the P2P and the P2E, so this has nothing to do with my distributer or head or anything, this sensor connects under the intake manifold and runs down the lower timing cover, i think the problem lies in the harness or the ecu because the sensor tested fine? i have no idea anymore and frankly if i had more time this motor would be on the side of the road right now

you did the continuity check?MidoriMiller;138510 wrote: ohm tested harness to ecu, no reading...
it should be 0 Ohms if there is a connection...
My DMM has a setting for continuity, it beeps when there is a connection between 2 points ($10 at Walmart)
