so trying to pass emissions seems to be no easy task, got a code P1337 which is something about crankshaft speed fluctuation sensor? my Honda friends have never heard of such a thing and deemed it a crankshaft Position sensor..

would you all agree?

and if so how do i go about replacing it =]

its the sensor that is down behind your crank pulley... youll see the wire loom for it running up the backside of the lower timing cover.

i have about 4 extra crank fluctuation sensors if you need one.

There is a Crank and Cam sensor in the dist. to determine cam and crank position. The Crank fluctuation sensor in the distributor compares the crank speed to the crank position to determine misfiring.

actually the crank, spoistion sensor was only like 35 bucks, where ive heard you have to replace the whole distributer when the fluctuation sensor goes bad?

also since i did the mini me swap do you think this had anything to do with all this? lol

you have that backwards. crank position is in the dizzy and if it goes bad you are right you cant replace just that sensor, you have to find a new dizzy.

Doing the mini-me swap shouldn't have effected it at all. my car passed emissions, and doesn't throw a CEL at all.
Has the CEL on your car been on? and I do beleive that the sensor is in the distributor.
