Have you ever thought of the b20a5? Its a bit thicker on the iron sleeves and goes with boost VERY well.

the a5 will be a tough swap since it isn't compatible with the rest of the "b-series" and won't just drop right in like the other b-series do, so I would not really recommend it.

I would honestly look at cash flow options, you obviously have a b18 already so right there your off to a start without spending cash.

A b20b depending on where you go will cost anywhere $500 - $700 not including shipping.

From certain numbers pulled around the B20b with a B16 head will make more power/torque then the stock B18c and still cost less then the B18c alone to buy.

A B18c will cost around $1500 or more not including shipping.

So just here you can sorta go the way you want, in all honesty I'd build the B18 since you already have it but then again who knows you might wanna be able to drive the car while it's being built so heres the game plan.

Search #'s people put down doing a LS/Vtec Turbo and then the B20/Vtec turbo #'s and go from there. Unless you can find a B18c under a $1000 I wouldn't think about it, I'd go for more money in the actual setup/tune then on one motor alone.

I'd also do a B18 since B20's arn't real hard to come by but everyone and there mom has a B18 laying around for some reason lol. For the instance that something does happen and you need a new block to restart.
