supercharging a z6?

I say you shouldnt have to have a reason, Either one you choose is going to make power and I would also have to agree with ksprelude that the SC is more reliable.

either one is going to make power? yea but which one will make more power more efficiently?

and its only as reliable as you make it.

so your theories are BS.

i was just looking for his reasoning for it...thats all.

supercharging a z6?

The fact of which is better , a supercharger or aturbo is irelavent I wanted a supercharger for a 4 years now. And I had the chance to get one for a decent price so I bought it. And the fact that the only problem that I had was getting the belt tension right when i first installed the kit (I went though about 3 belts). The kit has worked flawlessly. And feels like it make decent power for a SC. Yes you can easly make 200+ hp easly with a turbo and as long as you buy good parts it can be very reliable. But I would have ended up paying 1500+ for a decent turbo setup and I didnt have that kinda of money at the time to spend to get it. But I did have $800 to spend when I found the SC for sale. I do want to make more power than I am making now so I am switching to a turbo setup eather in the fall or winter. The nice part what the SC did for me is allow me to boost my car for cheap and allow me to slowly buy the tuning parts I needed and fuel stuff I needed while being boosted so when I get the turbo kit that part is all ready to go for when I switch over.

So the whole debate over Supercharging or turboing always ended a fight about which is better. But the reason people choose SC's , in my opinion, is more because they just want to be SCed more than how much power the end result will make. I know I could have bought a turbo kit but I wanted to do something diffent than what everyone else does and most importantly I just wanted to have a supercharger! But eventually my want for more power will out weigh my love of the SC and I will be switching to a turbo.
