b18a temp sensor?

i've got an lsvtec (b18a block) swapped in my 93 civic hatch. does anybody know where the temperature sensor is on these blocks? its not on the thermostat houseing, but i haven't had a chance to look at the back of the block to see if its back there. my radiator fan isn't working and it looks like the temperature sensor plug is not plugged into anything, its just hanging there, which i'm guessing tells the fan when to turn on. i plan to look at it tonight, just was wondering about it here at work and thought maybe someone has messed with this before. thanks.
