P29's or thicker/thinner head gasket

Post by jadedeg »

Hey, I have been reading through and researching...I have the D16z6 and was wondering if there can be any gains made from just installing a thinner head gasket and having a car dyno tuned with normal bolt-ons. Or another option...is it possible to put the p29 pistons into the stock block with a thicker head gasket and stock head? Any info. would be greatly appreciated...been reading for a couple hours at work and see similar threads, but nothing to address this.

Thanks

You won't see much of a gain, if any by using a thinner headgasket on a D-Series or dyno tuning a D-Series w/ bolt-ons. You can use P29's in a stock D-Series depending on which block/head combo your using. This subject was gone over in this thread a few days ago...
