need help with engine problem

so get this. if im driving on the highway and im going a steady speed the RPM will jump up and down about 500rpms. even if im using cruise control. anyone have any ideas.

i have a 94 accord ex.

Will the actually RPMs jump, or just the needle on the tach?

Is it just the needle bouncing like that, or do you feel the car running a tad bit faster when the needle moves?

If its just the needle, check your Vehicle Speed Sensor to start...
